Thought Powered Bionic Arm

Here's a link to a video of a new prosthetic arm in May of 2013 (about a year ago). In this video you see an amputee moving all of his fingers without effort. He is able to do so because the arm is programmed to respond to the electrical impulses in his residual limb. This programming makes it so all the amputee has to do is think about moving his old arm. While there have already been other prosthetic arms that amputees can move with their thoughts, this one is different in the movement. This bionic arm responds to a multitude of muscle triggers, providing for more natural and fluid movement whereas old prosthetic arms responded to direct signals from the brain.
